Servings 2-4. Prep time: 5-10 minutes. Cooking time: 15-20 minutes.
Required Ingredients.
- 2 yellow plantains
- 1 teaspoon of water or 2 cups of oil.
Optional Ingredients.
- Salt or sugar to taste
- 2 cups of peanut or olive oil.
Directions.
Step I.
- Prepare the frypan or a large pot
- Wash, dry, and peel the plantains
- Cut the plantain into small pieces and set them aside.
Step II.
- Add salt or sugar
- Add any spices you prefer, and toss for 5 seconds.
Step III.
- Add two cups of oil and heat for 5-10 seconds
- Add 8-10 pieces plantain, and fry for 1-2 minutes
- Lower the heat, flip over, and fry for about a minute.
- Repeat the process.
Vegans.
- Add a teaspoon of water and heat for 10 seconds.
- Follow the same directions.
Serve with soda or water.
